Howard Electrical Limited (HEL) has completed an overhaul of the fourth-floor plantroom at the iconic Hilton Hotel on London’s Park Lane.

While the pandemic hit the hospitality and travel industries hard, the 2020-2021 lockdown in London enabled one of the city’s most famous hotels to replace its major plantroom ahead of a grand reopening on 17 May. Horsham’s HEL was the lead contractor and oversaw one of the most memorable installations in the company’s history.

Howard Overhauls St. Mary’s Hospital Plantroom

Howard Electrical Limited has recently completed a plantroom replacement for the Clarence Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.

The focal point of the extensive project was the installation of a new Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) plantroom which would replace two individual plantrooms serving various areas within the Clarence Wing at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust site. Howard Electrical fulfilled the contract for CBRE Ltd., a leading provider of specialist real estate services to the healthcare and other sectors.

The Hilton London Metropole feels like home to Howard Electrical Ltd., whose exhibit will be the focal point for many delegates when the hotel stages this year’s EMEA Engineering Conference.

It was nearly 30 years ago when representatives of the company first visited 225 Edgware Road, London. At the time it was called the London Metropole. Howard Electrical, a specialist provider of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment and electrical services, was tasked with installation of an air-handling unit (AHU) for the 25th-floor restaurant.
